A few days ago I made an account of Wikipedia to write some articles in Wikipedia --- especially Japanese ancient history stuff.
It's very exciting that I can leave my work in the ever-lasting place of the world. I'm trying to move the text that I've written for many years to Wikipedia, because by doing so I can give my knowledge to more people than by keeping it in my own website.
Of course I know Wikipedia isn't perfect --- everybody, even those who are not experts, can write or modify articles and it may proble that Wikipedia's quality is lower than that of traditional encyclopedias like Britannica. But I don't care if it's perfect or not. The point is that everybody has an opportunity to contribute to the world by exchanging his own information.
