About Masayuki "Yuki" Kawagishi

My resumé is here.

I was born in Kobe, Japan on May 15, 1973. When I was four, I moved with my family to Nishinomiya, Hyogo, where I was raised and lived until 25.

After graduating from local high school, I studied communications engineering at Osaka University, from which I received B.E. degree and M.E. degree in 1996 and 1998 respectively. My research interests included land mobile telecommunications systems.

In 1998, I started my career at Nippon Telegraph and Telephone Corporation, where I engaged in the development of operations systems of ATM switches, optical line terminals and transponders. After NTT was spun out into NTT Communications Corporation, I was involved in the development and the maintenance of the public switched telephone network and the VoIP systems.

I'm currently involved in the planning for the maintenance of NTT Communications' VoIP services for business customers.
